Pelatihan guru fisika sekolah menengah ini bermula dari kegiatan ALOP Workshop (Active Learning in Optics and Photonics) sebagai bagian dari program UNESCO melalui International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) pada tahun 2015 dan 2017 bersama Center for Young Scientists (CYS) yang berlangsung dengan pengantar Bahasa Inggris. Substansi modul pelatihan optik tersebut dibangun oleh SPIE. Sebagai kelanjutannya, CYS melakukan deseminasi melalui penyelenggaraan pelatihan-pelatihan guru dengan materi yang sama dengan pengantar Bahasa Inggris, atas kesepakatan dengan UNESCO.

Young Scientist Competition 2017

The regional Young Scientist Competition(YSC) for the Western Java Province was held in 6th of September, 2017 at the Mepro Hall, Bandung, West Java hosted by Pudak Scientific and the Center for Young Scientists. The competition serves as regional preliminaries for the national Young Scientist Competition which will be held on 16th, 17th and 18th November 2017 in Jakarta.

The ICYS 2017 was held in Stuttgart, Germany on July 16-22, 2017 hosted by Kepler-Seminar E.V. Participation of 28 countries including Indonesia with 8 students and 2 team leaders. The Indonesian team is formed by selected students from several provinces in Indonesia.

The 1st International RMC Young Scientists Competition (Malaysia)

The Malaysia Young Scientists Organization (MYSO) held their first International RMC Young Scientists Competition in Royal Military College, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Student from 11 countries (Australia, Indonesia, Guam, Malaysia, India, Iran, Laos, Nigeria, Thailand, Srilanka and Philipine) exposed scientific posters and oral presentations, gathered in group activity, and a wonderful tour around Malaysia from 10 – 15 of July, 2017. Indonesian Team consists of 16 junior and highscool students from Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Surabaya and Bali.
