The Center for Young Scientists Indonesia hosted the Active Learning in Optics and Photonics (ALOP) workshop for the third time on October 6-10, 2019. The workshop took place at the campus of Parahyangan Catholic University in Bandung City, Indonesia, participated by 35 physics teachers from all over the country, including one foreign teacher from Palestine. In the workshop, trainer from Australia (Prof. Alex Mazzolini), the Philippines (Dr. Ivan Culaba), and the US (Prof. David Sokoloff), delivered the PODS method in teaching physics. This method was developed earlier by ICTP and SPIE. This is the third time ALOP hosted by the Center for Young Scientists Indonesia, after 2015 and 2017. This time the organizers included Physics Department of Parahyangan Catholic University and the Pudak Scientific (experimental equipment provider). The workshop was fully funded by the ICTP (May 15, 2020 - Monika Raharti).
